Apparently Mike Magee didn’t feel as if there was enough bulletin board material for the Sounders. Either that or he just wanted to go that extra mile so everyone was certain he was a giant horses’ ass.
“We just have to want it more,” Magee said. “I think they’re a team that is playing with a lot of confidence and a lot of motivation Especially, playing against us, like San Jose, they’ve always wanted to beat us and they’ve judged themselves based on their successes and failures against us. This is their MLS Cup and it’s going to be very big for them.”
Sure, this is a bit out of context. Magee previously admits in the article that the Sounders are the favorites for this series. But really if we wanted context we would look more at statistics and really do an adequate preview instead of trying to villainize a key playoff performer for LA.

There has been so little time to get too bent out of shape with smack talking but in this short time span it’s been so effective.
I like goals. I like not goals, that are specifically provided by a certain 6'5 keeper. I generally think guys like Brad Evans and Patrick Ianni are undervalued. I generally believe I'm undervalued too.
